Stop Smoking Classes

UCSF Fontana Tobacco Treatment Center’s 4 week Stop Smoking Classes and Freedom from Smoking Support Groups are suspended due to the Coronavirus.

Stop Smoking classes are taught by pharmacists and registered nurses, some of whom are former smokers. Each series covers smoking and health, addiction and strategies for quitting.

Classes involve four weekly two-hour sessions and are held at UCSF Medical Center's Parnassus campus Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or the Mount Zion campus Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.. The registration fee is $55.  Some scholarship help is available. 

If you would like to request scholarship help, please do not register online. Call us at (415) 885-7895 and we can explain the scholarship and register you by phone.

Please bring the following items to the first class:

  • Your Primary Care Provider's name and contact information
  • A list of your current medications
  • A list of your current medical problems
